Rest Day Tuesday May 21

Not much to talk about today. I mostly have been taking it easy and getting ready for the next four days with more climbing. Tomorrow we go along the coast in the mountains bordering the coast. Sarande is sort of a typical resort beach town with lots of hotels (mostly empty this time of year) and lots of small restaurants and shops along the coast. I went down to one last night and had some soup and fresh fish which were excellent but today haven’t done much other than exchange some Euros for Leks.

One of the issues on a trip like this is how to do laundry. You can wash some clothes in the sink but there is usually not enough time in the evenings for them to dry and trying to do it with a hair dryer is not very productive. Fortunately the hotel agreed to send our laundry out to have it done today. This was very much appreciated by the riders but if the laundry doesn’t get back by the end of the day there will be a lot of riders in deep trouble, including me.
